This is why I have no qualms about letting people know I have bipolar disorder. I want to remove the stigma that we’re not all whack-jobs, but normal people with dignity. I’ve taken the time and energy to work on myself, so I’ll proudly show everyone that you can have a mental illness without being a caricature or stereotype.
